Condition: Cough •  Lung Yin Deficiency
Treatment: Tonify Lung Yin, nourish body fluids, transform phlegm, stop cough
Description: Dry cough without sputum, dryness of the nose and throat, sore throat, spitting blood or even coughing blood, afternoon fever, malar flush, red tongue, thin coating, thready and rapid pulse, flushed cheeks, night sweats.

BL13 • Fei Shu • On the upper back, 1.5 cun lateral to the lower border of the spinous process of the third thoracic vertebra (T3).
Lung Shu. Back Shu of the Lung that connects with Front Mu LU1.
Explanation: Regulate and tonify Lung Yin, moistens Lung dryness, Regulates Lung Qi.

BL43 • Gao Huan Shu • On the upper back, 3 cun lateral to the lower border of the spinous process of the fourth thoracic vertebra (T4), at the level of BL 14.
Vital Center Shu.
Explanation: Regulate and tonify Lung Yin, moistens Lung dryness, Regulates Lung Qi.

KI3 • Tai Xi • On the medial ankle, at the midpoint between the prominence of the medial malleolus and Achille's Tendon.
Great Ravine. Shu Stream Point on the Kidney Channel. Yuan Source on the Kidney Channel. Earth Point on Water Meridian.
Explanation: Tonify Kidney Yin, clears deficiency heat.

KI6 • Zhao Hai • On the medial ankle, in the depression 1 cun inferior to the medial malleolus.
Shining Sea. Intersecting Point on Kidney Channel with the Yin Motility Vessel.
Explanation: Tonify Kidney Yin, clears deficiency heat.

SP6 • San Yin Jiao • On the medial leg, 3 cun superior to the medial malleolus, on the posterior border of the tibia.
Contraindication: Do Not Needle If Pregnancy is known or suspected.
Three Yin Intersection. Meeting Point on the Spleen Channel with the Liver and Kidney Channels.
